Vampire, me?
Did you know that the Count of Skingrad is a Vampire? How do I know? Let me tell you a story that’ll make will make you want to reach for a sharpened stick and your neck itch…
A while back I had just entered the Mage’s Guild and Arch-Mage Traven needed me to retrieve some information from the Count. So I saddled my horse and rode from the Imperial City to Skingrad to seek an audience with the Count. Before he’d give me the information I requested though, he insisted that I “clean out a nest of Vampires that could make people suspect that I’m a Vampire,” which I dutifully did. So all was well, I got the information for the Arch-Mage and thought that was the end of it – how wrong was I?
That night, as I slept I started to have funny dreams, but didn’t think anything of it. This went on for several days until one day I found myself taking a stroll around the Imperial City and loosing health. “This can’t be good,” thinks I, “I must have got some sort of infection.” So managed to get to a church to pray for the Nine to rid me of my ailments, which they did – but not the one that was causing me so many ill effects. My next clue to my new condition came from one of the city guards who asked “Are you alright? You look kind’a pale!” Followed by a shop keeper refusing to serve me she doesn’t like my kind – yes, I had become a Vampire!
Fortunately, I took refuse in the Mages guild and chatting with the number two there learnt two things: one, I can’t concentrate on the conversation without thinking about biting his neck and two, my new best friend, the Count of Skingrad, has a possible cure.
Accepting my condition for a while (until I get a cure at least) I sneak into some poor buggers house and sucked on his neck to take the cravings away for a while before journeying to Skingrad. Once there, the Count tells me a sad story about him and his wife both being bitten on the same night many moons ago and whilst he has accepted it, his wife hasn’t. He tells me that I must seek out one of the few remaining Witches that know the cure and begs me to get him one too for his wife who has been in a coma for 20 something years.
Well I find this witch, who wasn’t too chuffed that a Vampire just walked through her door, and persuade her to make me the cure. She then tells me that several ingredients are required to make the cure and I’m to procure them.
First up are a couple of standard herbs that can be found anywhere – easy!
Second, 6 cloves of Garlic. Garlic? Where do you get garlic from? Well I tried all the herbalists I know and came up short (having only purchased two cloves.) Thinking on the problem – one happy side effect of being a Vampire is that my intelligence has increased – I conclude that if anybody has garlic, it’s the people of Skingrad ‘cause the worst kept secret is that their Count is a blood-sucker.
Sure enough, after travailing to Skingrad and creeping into somebody’s house – I really was desperate at this stage and no longer wanted to suck the blood from peoples necks whilst they slept, not that I ever did you understand – I find garlic hanging by the fire place. Four houses later I have all the garlic required for the cure.
Next, some Bloodgrass that only grows on the plains of Oblivion – not a problem, I had some left over from the last time I was there. Closing Oblivion Gates has become something of a hobby for me.
Forth, the blood of an Argonian! This one poses a bit of a problem ‘cause lizards that walk and talk don’t like it much when you jab them with a sword to get their blood. But being despite I dropped into the local Mages Guild house and seeing an Argonian, poked her with a special enchanted sword designed for the task and ran like the wind to avoid having to slay her.
Lastly, I have to get the ashes of a really powerful Vampire. Not wanting to fall on my own pointy stick – what’s that about being modest? – I decide to find a really powerful Vampire named Hindarill who was buried in some caves to the East of the Empire.
Now I don’t know if you’re in the habit of walking into strange caves in the middle of nowhere and having a poke about, but if you are then you’d agree with me that seeing dead bodies strapped to stones and several stone coffins around is not a good sign of things to come, and in this case the signs were right and zombies started at me from every angle.
Like in all good stories, I saw them off in double quick time and found myself in the main chamber of the cave where Hindarill was waiting for me – apparently he’d been waiting for some poor fool to wonder in do he can get a good snack and leave the cave. Well, he wasn’t that hard and soon I had his ashes, and that’s when all hell broke loose – literally!
The moment that Hindarill fell to my blade, all the other coffins that I saw on the way in opened and a score of blood-sucking, pale faced vampires charged in and at me.
It was at this point, whilst fighting for my life (or should that be unlife?) that I suffered a great personal lose. In the middle of the fight, one of the blood sucking bastards snuck out of the cave and had a right good feed on my horse, leaving him dead. That beast had served me well for several months and I had become quite attached to him.
Anyhow, after killing all the vamps left standing I travel back to see the witch again, who makes me two potions that’ll cure vampirism – great stuff!
Being a kind hearted man – for I was a man once more – I take the other cure back to Skingrad making sure to only travel by day as I’d missed the sun that much. The Count is chuffed to bits and invites me to see him administer it to his wife. Wondering how they’re going to cope as a couple, I decide it could be a useful experience to watch. But to my surprise, the count wakes-up his wife, gives her the cure and then she promptly falls over dead!
Thinking that I was for the chopping block after that, I start to creep towards to the door ready to leg-it out of the province. But the count is happy with this result telling me that his wife has now passed to a better place – I’ve never been that sentimental and switched off for a while whilst he went on about the Nine and his wife, but tune back in when he mentioned a reward. After telling the Count about how that git killed my horse, he gives me one from his own personal stable, a fine black who’s as fast as the wind and answers to the unlikely name of Lord Mounty Horsey the Second! I just call him horse, far less embarrassing.
And that’s how I found out that the Count of Skingrad is a Vampire. As for me, I far happier drink ale then blood!
It is BETTER playing as a vampire….I have tremendous strength and success when I have a hard quest coming up if I just wait 4 days, gain all my attributes, and whoop ass on eveything in sight!

Ive red over your details about the vampire quest found it quite funny. Anyway ive been stuck on this darn quest for over 8 hours. I got all the stones and the ingredients etc. But for some reason I can not find the darn count with in Skingrad Castle anywhere. When the count visited me it was in my sleep. I cant seem to find the place where he is stood by wife on the pic you have listed. Can you please email me to let me know wheere to go to find him as this really is doing my head in and is spoiling the game for me?

Thanks for the rapid response it was a great help ill try it out later. I think that there was some kind of glitch as the count’s steward in skingrad castle was supposed to show me to a secret passge but she never did everytime i went to speak to her in the county hall / dining room all she said was that the count waits with in and that was it. Then the nutter would start following me about and saying that i should not be in here. “Thats when i speak to her in the dining Hall” Anyway thanks for the email and as mentiond ill try out what you say lets hope i can get this out of the way as its really pissing me off lol. Great game though

You don’t have to get attacked by vampires to catch the disease. Just complete a few of the dark brotherhood quests and the vampire there will offer you a “dark gift”… vampirism. Just sleep and the vampire will visit you.
can you become a vampire playing as any race? i really want to play through the game again as an argonian (currently making good progress as a Nord) but I also want to try playing as a vampire. I know argonians are resistant to disease but does that include vampirism? someone let me know!

i have found all the ingredients for the lady, and then gave them to her, but i didnt not get the blood grass shoots.
however, told me to get the great vampire ashes. so i did.
the problem now is that i cannot give her the blood grass, (the option to
give her the blood grass is not there. can you think of anything for me
to do? anything help with welcome

After completing 3 or 4 dark brotherhood the vampire (vincenti somebody i think) will ask you if you want the dark gift.

I think that there is a slimmer chance of becoming a vampire by being attacked by vampires as an argonian. But i would have thought that you would instantly become a vampire by using the method in my last comment like other races. I am not entirely certain so you may want to search on google etc. for oblivion vampirism.

The cure quest is rumoured to have glitches and bugs in it. There is help for P.C players but for Xbox 360 players then i think the only option is to start an older save.
Can some1 just tell me the exact name of the cure for vamprism because iv got that glich where i cant give them bloodgrass, and dont have an older save so if i can get the ID code i will just spawn a couple but i dont know the name or code (eg 00033677 would spawn garlic) of the potion. Can anyone help me?

Im having the same problem as John. when i try to turn in the cure for vampirism that steward just has the option of “dont have the potion yet” but i do!!! can i find the count directly or is there a way to set that dialog up right with the steward? please help!! thanks

Do you mean the steward has gone through the secret passage and left you?. I think there is some info about that eventually if you search on google for it. As i have not started the quest i cannot help you.
Yeah, with the whole vamprism thing… You get like, +5 to Strength, Willpower, Speed, Acrobatics, Destruction, Athletics, Hand to Hand, Illusion and sneak
You also get some other little stuff, but the problems are that you get weakness to fire, and over the 4 day period before you become a full vampire, then sun damage, and some people won’t talk to u
PLus, you get some cool powers, but the capabilities are limited, the only good one is the invisbillity one
So, To be or not to be… A vampire.
If ur character realllllllllllyyyyyy needs some extra boosts or some OK magic, then go for being a vampire, but it isn’t REALLY good to be one.

Me to Waz. Seems you either give the count the potion, or take it yourself. If you take it yourself will that mean you cannot complete the vampire quest (as well as miss out on lots of duplicated rewards)????? The games great but fart-ar*ing around trying to sort this mess out has been a nightmare….
In fact, I’m just gonna take the potion myself! Sod the Count’s wife, what’s she ever done for me? And that stupid aragonian woman who keeps walking in to walls asking me to wait in the hall and the count will be with me soon…….. she’s lucky I didn’t fireball her a**.

Waz, if you have a previous save (before you are due to give the potion to the Count), then all is not lost. Simply drink the potion yourself and then speak with Hal-Liurz. Tell her you have the potion and she will lead you to the count as normal. And that’s it. You’re cured, the wifes cured, you get 2500 gold (and more if you want it, just keep asking about the reward). Everybodys happy. Except for the Aragonian woman who got her a** fireballed for fun.
Oh, make sure you have a couple of Feather potions. Chances are you are carrying more as vamp than you can as your character.
hello, well i just finished this quest, gave potion and got the reward. and now i have one in my inv, should i drink that potion? or what.. :/
u do have two of the potions, it just doesnt show that u have them. the same thing happend to me. i got the potions, looked in my inventory, it had only one of them, so ofcourse i used it cus i hated bein a vampire, i went to complete the rest, and reached the count, and on the options it said sumthin that allowed u to give it to him.
I was bitten by a vampire while sleeping, but have never done any of the Dark Brotherhood quests.
Hi I’ve done everything for the quest, driken my potion, im all cured and half one left for the count. I go to the castle and ask the dragon lady and all she says is “The count awaits within, plz do not delay” Then the convo ends, she doesnt go anywhere of relevance (only aruond the foyee room talking to guards etc) But IDK where to go or how to give the count the potion. I’ve long since over saved this so that isnt an option. This is like my last mission and i’d really like to get it completed . thanks
When i get the argonian blood, does it have to be from a specific place or can it be from anyone? plus i know a way to duplicate almost any item for those interested. Equip a bow and then 100 arrows, pull out the bow and hold down the trigger and dont let go, then push b to go to your items, let go of the trigger and then unequip your bow (it will say its not possible while shooting) then drop 1 of the item you wish to duplicate. then push b once again to go back to the main game. the bottle or whatever should turn into one hundred little bottles or a few large ones holding small ones. This doesnt work with a lot of weapons but greatly with bottles or herbs or arrows or etc. good luck for those to wish to use it, great for making a s**t load of health potion shtne hotkeying them

Well I’m flummoxed, I got the “bug” after many many a fight with vampires (I’m an argonian) and now it shows me having the disease and being fatigued. But no matter how much I rest (and I’ve rested a lot) I can’t seem to actually go from catching to being. I’m wondering if my Argonian resistance is preventing it or some other such weirdness.
I’m going to try going to sleep naked and see if that helps. All I want is to suck a little blood and do some fun Vampire like stuff before I get cured, its not like it actually hurts people from what I’ve read.

For some f*cked up reason, I can’t give the old lady the bloodgrass to make the cure!!! I have like 7 of them (not stollen) and she doesn’t let me talk about it. I’ve given her everything else she needs but I can’t give her the bloodgrass, and as far as I can tell, I can’t get cured :(. If anyone has this problem tell me how you fixed it, if you did.

I come back in 24 hours, and the arrow tells me to go to the basement. the basement is a trap door that needs a key and i dont have the key.
i wait 3 days while going back many times and shes still not there.
For Fucks sake ive been playing this game for a good few months now and have finished it but can still nto find that FUCKING Wife of Skingard to give her the Vampire cure. I stood on the well in the Court Yard to look for that passage you mentiond of but I can not see anything at all. If I come out of the Court Yard and jump on top of the well and look left, there is an Archway well looks like some kind of archway but its sealed and can not be activated at all. Is the Stewardess supposed to open this for me if so im fucked as she will not do anything accept for say…. THE COUNT WAITS WITH IN!!!!! Which I have now heard over a fucking million times!!!!. Any ideas to help me out pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease….. Thanks guys
the exact same thing happened to me with the bloodgrass, its a bug and apparently only the patch can fix it which is fucken annoying because we spend gud money to buy this game and its not even properly made…this wouldnt happen with nintendo….
Gianni, without wanting to get drawn into a long convoluted argument, are you trying to say that Nintendo have never had a single bug in any of their games?? At least with Oblivion they can fix it both on the PC and the 360 as both systems are set up to take patches.
To those stuck on the lady saying “the count awaits” but you can get no further. You likely have the vampire hunter quest active, and there’s a bug where if you have two quests from the count, he’s just MIA. You must GO BACK to a save PRIOR to your receiving the vampire cure potion, complete the other quest, then get the potion and it will work.
I tried this by completing the vampire hunter quest first (killing them), but then you are even more out of luck- you can complete NEITHER quests. In both cases you need to talk to the reptile lady, but she will not get the Count, and the green arrow will not go off of her.

They killed your horse? My mabel didn’t die? humm. One problem though, once the count was ready to see me, all he said was “please, go.” WTF?! No reward or nothing.
After seeing this whole page filled with more questions than answers, I have been late in saying…Buy the strategy, BORROW the stragety guide, STEAL the strategy guy, KILL your next door neighbor(the annoying one) for it!
Its a pretty darn good guide, and it has no cheats.(but maybe a few spoilers)

I think you can only get blood off of sleeping people.
Sneak into their houses and feed on them while they are asleep, click on them like your going to talk to them, but there will be a ‘’suck blood” option.
A easy way to get blood without risking constant breaking and entering is to join a guild and wait untill everyone sleeps.

I started the game as an Argonian, was inducted into the Brotherhood, finished some quests and took Vicente Valtieri´s ‘dark gift’ then slept for three days. When I woke,I looked really fucked-up. Argonian eyes are reptilian and red, and in vampiric form they look like normal human eyes but with red irises. The skin also changes from the jeweled reds and greens to a pale-looking, mottled red and white. The disease resistance does not prevent you from getting it, it only makes it harder to contract. For this reason, it is easier to become an Argonian Vampire through Vicente´s gift in the Dark Brotherhood.

Hi all, i need advice…this is my story…
Short Story: I became a vampire, meet with the witch whom required some items with i collected and she made me and the count of skingrad 2 potions.(1 for me and 1 for the Countess of Skingrad) My cure works, her cure works, she dies, the Count leaves, and the lizard women says that i should wait until she gets him, she doesnt even move, and when i enter hes room, the only thing he says is “Please Go”.
All this replys(or what shud i call them) can anyone tell me if it is good to be a vampire or not.
And can anyone tell me how a khajiit wamp look like?
and in oblivion is it day all the time?
if so it must be inposible to make it.

Marble, if your considering becoming a vampire, I have a list of some advantages and disadvantages for vampirism.
The good things:
-In a few days of becoming a vampire, you will lose nothing attribute-wise, and will instead gain a few nice ones!
-You can even learn a few new powers by not drinking blood and just letting yourself get consumed by your vampiricism, such as invisibility (for a short time),something like persuasion (It makes people like you more), and some other ones, but I forget what they are.
-blood sucking is easier than it sounds, instead of risking breaking-and-entering just to get a meal, you can feast on the city bums who are aways found sleeping around docks and such, or join a guild and wait until every ones asleep for a blood buffet! You feast by activating your victim like your going to talk to them, and there will be an option for biting them.
The bad things:
-A weakness to sunlight, which will force you inside until the late hours(Yes Marble, it does turn to nighttime and even rains and fogs, and at certain places, it snows!)
-As you fall into vampirism, people will refuse to talk to you, seriously hindering your goings about and marketing attempts. to stop this, you gotta start blood-sucking to keep off the effects vampiricism,or, use your persuasion powers to put down their fear of you.
-Biting people counts as a crime if someones sees you do it.
-your skin will turn a pasty white, and your eyes will grow red as you succumb to the effects of vampiricism.
And khajiit vampires skin color changes from green/orange to yellow/black I think, something like that.

I got a weird problem. I finished this quest without any major difficulties but later on I got infected by a vampire again. No big deal I thought but first I don’t have red eyes and second I can’t drink blood from sleeping people. There isn’t even a feed option. And now after a few days daylight kills me very fast. I don’t even have better stats :(. Dunno what wrong. I got the cure using “cheats” but that didn’t help either…nor did setting pcvampire to -1. I’m lost, maybe I’m gonna buy this vile lair addon since it has other means of a vampire cure in it but I doubt that’ll work either, and I don’t know where it went wrong and the savegame that could change anything is like 15-20 hours back at least.
I hope you guys have some idea.

Marble, you may be the biggest noob I’ve ever heard of, but I will tell you this:
To get the dark gift, you must do at least five Dark Brotherhood quests, at which point Vicente transfers you to Ocheeva and then offers you the gift.
The different types of armor that appear in the game depend on your level. I believe at level ten orcish and mithril armor appears, level seventeen ebony and elvish appear, and at twenty or higher Daedric and glass. Also, if you want to have an almost-full set of heavy armor (either ebony or daedric) with a claymore of those materials, find the High Elf who leads the order of the Virtuous Blood, and go into his house. Inside you will find a Dark Elf with the full set of heavy armor and the claymore. If you have no qualms about killing him, you can take the armor and weapon. For light armor, try the hunt mission in Bravil, with the orc tax collector who sends you out to an island, trapping you on it. One of the hunters inside should have a full set of a powerful light armor. Remember, all of this varies on your level.

I dunno, I found the disadvantages of vampirism outweighed the benefits. If you forget to feed a couple of nights, you burn, then you hve to wait till nightfall to drain a beggar or whatever, then you can get back on the road again. Besides, people don’t fear me enough.
can anybody tell me how to suck blood in obliovion for xbox 360 ??
It’s pretty simple. Just go up to the sleeper (make sure no one can see you, I usually use beggars or guild members) and then press A on the sleeper and it will give the option of talking or feeding (or pickpocketing and feeding if you are sneaking.)
Type player.additem 000977e4 1 USE THE SPACE AFTER THE 4 this rids you of being a Vampire!

Hi, I have a Dark Elf-vampire, and I’m not sure whether I want to be cured or not. What think you? (Not that I think I’d be able to find five grand soul gems anyway)…
It’s pretty balanced on poros and cons, but it all winds up to what works for you. If finding blood to drink or getting burned by accident is too much of a nuisance for you, get the cure. Otherwise, stick with the vampire and the badass abilities it has. Oh, and grand soul gems can be found at every mages guild for sale. Also, try the magic stores in the Imperial City or Bravil.

hi, i have been infected by vampairism and i am loosing health. there is no church in the imperial city and i cant fast travel to another location. what should i do??
Wait until night Steve. Just stay indoors and wait a few hours until it’s dark. If you’re already losing health then you’re all ready a vampire.
I did the vampire quest, and once I noticed the desease progresses whenever you sleep I decided to try not sleeping. I went back to a save just after getting infected and from then on didn’t sleep.
The need to feed didn’t occur, the changes to the skin and weakness to sunlight didn’t happen either. I was just stuck on the level when I got bit for the time being.
It took awhile to figure out that the Grand Soul Gems can be bought in the mage’s guilds, but by then I’d gone through a whopping bunch of caves and forts looking for them and found out a quite a bit about how things really work particularly fighting and timing attacks.
Once I did get the Grand Soul gems I already had the other stuff except for the blood of an Argonian. I’d noticed that several times in fighting bandits they occasionally are Argonian and who cares if you stab one of them??
In Lewlynn(??) the quest to get the mage recommenation involves going to Fort Blueblood and there have been Argonian maruaders in there the two times I’v done that quest. Just stab the dude using the special dagger then finish him off with something stronger and you have your blood with no one in town getting upset over it.
I was a vampire for 42 playing days when I finally finished. Afterward I jumped 15 levels because of all the stuff I did in the meantime, but not sleeping was definately worth getting the extra powers without putting up with the ’side effects’.

Haha, I just stabbed an Argonian in the Leyawiin chapel. But i was sneaking, so….
there is a very simple way to getting rid of vampirism but it requires not necissarily cheats, but going into the games testing grounds, open up the console (the ~ key) type coc testinghall go to the door that is to the right of “wooden door to alchemy test warehouse” go to the last crate named “all potions” and theres 2 bottles of cure vampirism in it. note: only use it if your fed up with this incredibly long quest.

Cheating has lost its meaning when it comes to playing Morrowind and
Oblivion. If you do it before your first game day, think of it as
‘configuring’ your game to your preferences. The games testing grounds
(and there are quite a few) is a collection of more or less successfully first attempts at creating various elements of the game,
The room mentioned contains crates with a copy of all the items in the
game. The particular crate contains only one vampire cure. To get another one you need to spawn another instance of the crate.
One of the doors leads to a house, a true vampires heaven. Two gravestones gives you either vampirism (starting strength) and
full vampirism (72 hours without “feeding”). Entering the hall
requires use of the console (player.coc testinghall). Exiting for
fast travel is easier (and the only way). The doors in the middle
tower (any of them) leads outside (as you cannot fasttravel from
an interion location)

i have a problem and hope that someone there can help me. the count of skingrad does not speak with me. not in the quest “aid for bruma” nor in the “vampire” quest nor in “ulterior motives”. so i can´t finish any of these quests. does anybody know how to solve that problem.

I was a vampire but i downloaded the Vile Lair Patch and it has a cure to Vamparizm ultar and i cured to get the money to buy all the funisings (lvl 1 by the way) and i got the disease but i slept for like 20 days but i dident become a vampire WTF

a good tips about the getting the argonian blood()lizards) is of two quest
1: the bogwater water quest(dark brotherhood) where you gotta off an agonian for Teanava
or
2: when you finish all of ocheeva’s quest you will be working now on for lucien lachance(the guy that shows up during your sleep when you:ve committed gratuitous murder(and are sleeping in a ‘’safe” place)
you get to kill ALLL your brother and sisters…which means 2 argonians right there , no bounty.
So what I did was get up to the quest of killing the darkbrotherhood in cheydenhal but not do it right away,
I travel to the sanctuary tell vicente to bite me, then once I;ve slept a few days I am one,
I go to a chapel( I went to anvil) , I can ask for a cure of vapirism, get sent back and forth between the count , arcane university etc then finally the witch get all the ingredients(If I haven¨t got them in one of my houses yet laying around) then receive the special blade which I have to use for the blood of an argonian
go to cheydehal darkbrother sanctuary, whoop some ass (tada!! got the blood) and the rest you know it
oh btw it sucks(pun I guess) being a vampire your fatigued easily which means less efficient blows to your enemys and all the spells and powers you get(which you lose btw when you turn back to human) you can get them with less magicka costs at certain mage guilds+the wizard in the darkbrother sanctuary(deathly visage…I shot to 100 illusion within 3 caves explorations)
also you don:t need night-eye if you can cast a ”light on self spell” and an invisibility spell…..Heck you can even be carrying a torch while your invisible and the enemies won^t find it out of sorts to see a torch moving around all b y itself
Btw when i got the potions, I had to go to skingrad and meet the count, then follow hime to the room where his wife is slumbering. also once she croaks and he says go…just go.
once an ingame month has passed(do some quests to pass time) you talk to his orc and the count meets ya and will give a shedload of coin for what transpired, in the unpatched pc+xbox you can repetedly ask hime a bout his wife and each time he^ll give you as much coin (I was level 20 something and he would give me 10 000 …heheh I got to be a millionnaire reall quick…which by the way takes out the fun of the game and the point of looting treasures
also at the bogwater camp , ask question first to your mark..you might like what he has to offer in exchange of his life

Can someone help me? I have 2 characters who have “recieved” the Dark Gift from Vicente, but when i sleep on the third day or after the third day whatever i still don’t have any dreams. Can the argonians and the khajit (bad spelling there) not become vampires?

Yup, the Vampire Cure quest is bugged. I went to the witch and gave her everything but the bloodgrass the funny thing is everytime I enter her house she instantly attacks me…..heh…hinda funny…I’m on 360 and I don’t have any old saves…..sux for me..
I am on the 360. I gave the witch all the ingredients, and came back 24hrs. later, but she still says she is making it… Ahh well.
the counts woman wont tell him I am here to get my reward! I have cured myself and his dead wife and then he said he needed time to grieve…it has been weeks! does anyone know how to get this woman to move?
There is another way not to get bounty while getting the argonian’s blood, simply find peryite’s shrine! all his followers are unconsious including and argonian! cut her, no reaction! Tada!

You can find an elvish bow anywhere really. After a certain level(14 I think)people will randomly carry them. I find that maurauders carry them aswell as bandits. I hope I have been of help to you.

ok so i am an arogonian or what ever that lizard is called. A) i cant find any vampire caves at all and B) is it possable for me to become one anyway?
I’ve been a vamp for 127 days so far, its cool. i Don’t see the sunlight thing as much of a problem, if you have high health and mana then you can easily keep yourself fighting fit with healing whilst walking around in daytime. Most of the time im not a full vampire, usually just the 1st or 2nd stage, f it annoys me i just wait until night and bite anyone who takes my fancy. Or if i dont want to wait until night time then ill just run into some baracks, bite a sleeping guard and then pay 45 gold. I don’t see what all the fuss is about needing this cure. Although, if i ever do get bored being a vamp, ive got the cure safely stored away
….But if i take the cure, does that mean i can never be a vamp again?

I’ve a problem. I can’t speak with te count and his wife in that passage. None of the 3 that are in the chamber speak to me. So I can’t do the Allies for Bruma quest and that’s f*ck*d up. Can someone help me please????

I am Dolph of Rand, Wood Elf. I, too, have been cursed/blessed with vampirism. I am still gathering all the Grand Soul Gems, but already have all the herbal ingredients. After reading all your posts, I am determined to finish the quest, get my potions and my never-ending pile of gold from the Count, but don’t know if I will drink the potion myself. However, I created my character to look just like me (and it really does look JUST LIKE ME) and being a vampire makes my character look extremely sick. Sunken red eyes, pasty skin, …. and I “smoke” in the daylight if I didn’t feed the night before.
Overall, I have found OBLIVION to be a pretty fun game. And I appreciate all of you for posting and sharing your info.

i found out right away, the first thing i did when i started oblivion was KILL PEOPLE!! >D KILL KILL KILL!!
anyhow, some creepy old mad asked me to join the dark brother hood, so i did, the leader (sadly.. in the end i had to kill him -__-) was a vampire, and he offered me his gift, and told me that if i wanted the cure, i could talk to the count of skingrad, who is also a vampire =D

The cure for Vampirism quest has a glitch where you cannot have the option of speaking about bloodgrass if you HAVE completed the main quest. Hopefully anyone with Xbox live has downloaded the new and free patch which fixes this problem, other than downloading the patch if your character is a vampire who has completed the main quest there is absolutely NO way to get the bloodgrass option, so for those wihout Xbox live, you’re fucked.
Our newest patch released recently fixes this problem and many others, cheers!

So I schleped around the Mage’s guild halls and half of cyrodill collecting grand soul gems…snatched some weird flowers..killed a “powerful” vampire and stabbed some random lizard..and yet after all this the moronic witch won’t accept my bloodgrass..I hate being a vampire and IMO the cons definitly outweigh the pros. It sounded really kinky being “a creature of the night” and vicente had an excelent sales pitch. Well, I was young and naive. From what i’ve been hearing, this quest is bugged to f#ck and i’m not keen to fight with this retarded steward even if the witch makes the damn potion. Bethesda kinda cocked this one up… awwww i could never stay mad at you for long Bethesda… have a doggy biscuit…

Aarghhhh. I’m gonna kill the b**** argonian lady lol. I didn’t have a problem with the bloodgrass or potion but I’ve got two missions going at once that involve the Count of Skingrad. And his dumb lizard keeps walking into the walls of the courtyard (right above the entrance to the Count’s wife >.

DRAGOON you can find vincent valteri in cheydinhal in the basement of the abandoned house but first you have to become grand champion at the arena in the imeprial city after you become grand champion..sleep and a member of the dark brotherhood will ask you to join by doing a quest…then that guy will tell you where to go..at a sanctuary there you will find the vampire and after you do a few brotherhood quests..vincent will ask you if you want to becom a vampire….If anyone has any other questions i think i can answer almost all of them:P

Hi. I am currently on the quest of finding a cure for the vampirism. The only thing is that I closed all of the Oblivion gates a while ago and I didn’t think to take any of the plant with me. Do you know where I can find any bloodgrass either growing outside of any Oblivion gates or perhaps a place where I can purchase them?

Yeah, okay, something is messed up and I have no idea how to fix it. So, I gave the witch everything she needed, the blood grass and ashes, and all and she took it and told me to come back in a day. I did, and she wasn’t there. I waited for a while then waited for a few more days and she hasn’t shown up yet. She just disappeared and I have no idea where she went, I really need that cure and if somebody could help me with this, I’d really appreciate it.

“I think that there was some kind of glitch as the count’s steward in skingrad castle was supposed to show me to a secret passge but she never did everytime i went to speak to her in the county hall / dining room all she said was that the count waits with in and that was it. Then the nutter would start following me about and saying that i should not be in here. “Thats when i speak to her in the dining Hallâ€? ”
This is rather annoying and it would be great if i could find out how to get to the count, help would be greatly appreciated
For those of you who ,supposedly only got “one” vampire cure potion, you can drink it and still give it to the count. You should drink it first. After that it will “disappear”. Now go talk to the count and tell him you have it. It will say the cure is removed even though you already drank it! Problem solved!! Now go finish the little bit left of the quest and your done!
My problem is that i have given the lady who makes the potion for you all of the ingredients except for the bloodgrass and even though i have them in my inventory she will not take them from me. Did anybodyelse have this problem? Does anybody know anything that could help? By the way i’m playing oblivion on the ps3 and it’s the game of the year addition if that helps.

Uhhh….Ive been hearing this stuff abought a vampire sanctuary where you get cool vampiry stuff and feed on unconcious cattle on the expansion pack of oblivion. And I wanted to know if thats true or not and if it is. Where is it at shimmering isles or Cyrodil? Someone help I need to know if it is real or just a sweet lie!?!?!?!?!
